Description
Stenocephalemys albocaudata Frick, 1914. Ann. Carnegie Mus., 9:8.
TYPE LOCALITY: S Ethiopia, Chilalo Mtns, Inyala Camp.
DISTRIBUTION: Ethiopia; endemic to the E plateau between 3000 and 4050 m.
COMMENTS: Inhabits the Afro-alpine moorland where it occurs with Arvicanthis blicki, Lophuromys melanonyx, and Tachyoryctes macrocephalus, which are also moorland specialists (Rupp, 1980; Yalden, 1988).
