Description

Spelaeomys florensis Hooijer, 1957. Zool. Meded. Leiden, 35:306.

TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Nusa Tenggara, Palau Flores, Manggarai Prov., Liang Toge, a cave near Warukia, 1 km south of Lepa.

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from Flores Isl.

COMMENTS: Represented only by subfossil fragments (3000-4000 years old), but may still live on Flores, and possibly other nearby islands.
