Description

Allactaga bullata Allen, 1925. Am. Mus. Novit., 161:2.

TYPE LOCALITY: Mongolia, Altai Gobi, Tsagan-Nur (Tsagaan Nuur).

DISTRIBUTION: Deserts of S and W Mongolia (Bannikov, 1954; Sokolov et al., 1981a; adjacent Chinese provinces of Nei Mongol, E Xinjiang, Ningxia (Ma et al., 1987), Gansu (Chen and Wang, 1985; Zheng and Zhang, 1990) and N Shaanxi (Wang, 1990).

COMMENTS: Subgenus Orientallactaga. Closely related to A. balikunica (see comments therein).
