TYPE LOCALITY: Bolivia, north of Rio Belmonte.

DISTRIBUTION: Between Rio de Contas and Rio Jequitinhonha, SW Bolivia.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.

COMMENTS: Accepted as a species by Mittermeier et al. (1988) and Groves (1989).
