Probing clouds and hazes in an inflated hot-Jupiter atmosphere
Description
The poster describes the science of my PhD thesis. It primarily focuses on hot-Jupiter atmospheres. Hot-Jupiters are gas-giant exoplanets that orbit their host star at a distance of less than 1au. As they orbit very close to their star, they tend to have a heated and extended atmosphere making them ideal candidates to research about the atmosphere. The findings of my research can determine whether the planet's atmosphere is dominated by silicate clouds, just alkali metals, or both, and, if present, can identify any biosignature gasses.
