Type locality: Ceylon [Sri Lanka]

Distribution. Indian records: Shimla, Dharamshala (Hampson 1896b), Himalayas (Caradja 1925), NW Himalayas (Klima 1937), West Bengal (Kurseong, Darjiling), Himachal Pradesh (Dharamshala, Shimla) (Bhattacharya 1997). Global records: Ceylon (Hampson 1896b), West china, Sokotra (Klima 1937).
