SOME ASPECTS OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS OF THE KHANATE OF KHIVA WITH RUSSIA IN THE DOCUMENTS OF THE NATIONAL OF THE ARCHIVAL FUND OF UZBEKISTAN

In this article, diplomatic relations between the Khiva Khanate and Russia were covered on the basis of documents from the I-125 fund, stored in the National Archival Fund of Uzbekistan (NAF). The documents of relations of 1855-1872, before the conquest of the khanate, were studied. During the analysis of the data, the efforts of the Khiva Khanate and the Turkmen clans to preserve their independence, the attitude of Russia towards the Khanate were highlighted. The article touches upon the tension that arose in relations between the Khanate and Russia in the second half of the 19th century.
