Description
Praomys huberti (Wroughton, 1908). Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 8, 1:255.
TYPE LOCALITY: Nigeria, Zungeru.
DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to W. Zaire; Morocco; perhaps also in Zimbabwe and E. Africa.
COMMENT: Subgenus Mastomys; see Misonne, 1974, Part 6:25. Chromosome number 2N=32; formerly included in erythroleucus; see Petter, 1977, Mammalia, 41:441-444. Probably a synonym of natalensis; see Misonne, 1974, Part 6: 25.
