TYPE LOCALITY: Kenya, Mombasa.
DISTRIBUTION: Sudan; Ethiopia; Somalia; Kenya; Uganda.
COMMENT: Formerly included in subspinosus by Setzer, 1975, Part 6.5:2; but see Yalden et al., Monitore Zool. Ital., n.s., suppl. 8(l):44-48, and Rupp, 1980, Saugetierk. Mitt., 28:87.
