Description

Myotis brandti (Eversmann, 1845). Bull. Soc. Nat. Moscow, 18: 505.

TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., Orenburgsk. Obi., S. Ural, Sakmara River (OLR). "Foothills of the Ural Mountains."

DISTRIBUTION: Britain to Kazakhstan, S. Siberia (U.S. S. R.), Mongolia, south to Spain and Greece.

COMMENT: Listed as a subspecies of mystacinus by Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951: 139; but also see Corbet, 1978:48.
