Description
Procyon cancrivorus (F. Cuvier, 1798). Tabl. Elem. Hist. Nat. Anim., p. 113.
TYPE LOCALITY: French Guiana, Cayenne.
DISTRIBUTION: E. Costa Rica, Panama, and South America to N. E. Argentina.
COMMENT: Includes aequatorialis, nigripes, and proteus; see Cabrera, 1958:243-244, and Hall, 1981: 974.
