Hemiechinus sylvaticus Ma 1964

Description

Hemiechinus sylvaticus Ma, 1964. Acta Zootax. Sin., 1:35.

TYPE LOCALITY: China, Shansi Prov., N. slope of Li-shan Mtn., Qin-shui Dist.

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from type locality.

COMMENT: Erinaceus hughi Thomas, 1908 is probably conspecific (GBC), but was included in E. europeaus by Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:21, and in H. dauuricus by Corbet, 1978:15.
