Hemiechinus dauuricus (Sundevall, 1842). K. Sven. Vetenskapsakad Akad. Handl., 1841:237.
TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., Transbaikalia, Dauuria.
DISTRIBUTION: S. Lake Baikal to Ningsiahiu (China), and east to N.E. China (SW).
COMMENT: Includes sibiricus; see Corbet, 1978:15 Bull. Zool. Nomenci., 35: 123-124; Russian authors usually spell this name dauricus.
