Mazama rufina

Description

Mazama rufina (Bourcier and Pucheran, 1852). Rev. Zool., p. 561.

TYPE LOCALITY: Ecuador, Pichincha, Pichincha Mts., Lloa valley.

DISTRIBUTION: W. Venezuela; perhaps adjacent Colombia; Ecuador; Peru; N. Bolivia; S.E. Brazil; N.E. Argentina; E. Paraguay.

COMMENT: Includes bricenii and nana (Hensel, 1872) (not nana Lesson, 1842, or nana Lund, 1839, which Cabrera, 1961:341-342, regarded as nomina nuda); see Cabrera, 1961:341; Haltenorth, 1963:48.

ISIS NUMBER: 5301419006012002001 as M. bricenii.

5301419006012004001 as M. nana.
