Description

Microsciurus flaviventer (Gray, 1867). Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 20, 3:432.

TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil.

DISTRIBUTION: Upper Amazon River Basin, from the Rio Negro to Peru, the Andes of Peru, Ecuador and Colombia.

COMMENT: Formerly included alfari and mimulus; see comments under those species.
