TYPE LOCALITY: Surinam.
DISTRIBUTION: Bolivar and T.F. Amazonas (S. Venezuela); forests of Guianas, south to the Amazon and the Rio Negro rivers.
COMMENT: Type locality restricted by Thomas, 1911, Proc. ZooL Soc. Lond., 1911: 132. Reviewed by Wetzel and Kock, 1973, Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash., 86:29-30.
