This paper has aim to find out guidelines for security of academic libraries. ISI14489- Code of Practice On Occupational Safety and Health Audit, National Assessment and Accreditation Centre (NAAC) guidelines (SSR), American Library Association (ALA) Guidelines for the Security of Rare Books, Manuscripts, and Other Special Collections, American College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Guidelines Regarding Thefts in Libraries, etc.
