Description

Planiculus murudensis (Browne, 1965) comb. nov.

Xyleborus murudensis Browne, 1965: 203.

Euwallacea murudensis (Browne): Beaver 1995: 203.

Remarks. The holotype and a paratype (NHMUK) were examined. The species has the characteristics of Planiculus given above for P. kororensis and it is here transferred to that genus.

Distribution. East Malaysia.
