Description

Ambrosiophilus tomicoides (Eggers, 1923) comb. nov.

Xyleborus tomicoides Eggers, 1923: 205.

Ambrosiodmus tomicoides (Eggers): Wood & Bright 1992: 681.

Remarks. An image of a non-type specimen in Schedl’s collection (NHMW) was examined. The species has the characteristics of Ambrosiophilus given above for A. bispinosulus and is here transferred to that genus.

Distribution. East Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra).
