Music Therapy: The Role of Intersectoral Interaction to Shape the Specialist Programme Subject Area and Specify the Field Research
Description
The purpose of the article is to identify the leading current trends in the main branches of music therapy, taking into account the experience of various world scientific schools. Methods. The authors have applied a historical and cultural approach to study the formation and development of music therapy as a separate field of knowledge. The authors also used methods of analysis and comparison, which trace the main directions of music therapy in the psychological, mental and behavioural sectors and determine the intersectoral influences of significant scientific results. Results. It is proved that the dynamism of the development of music therapy since its creation shows specific stability in the extension and testing of new branches. Their entrance is logical and is explained as a result of peculiar "cross" intersectoral influences and the involvement, at certain stages, of significant scientific results from various branches of knowledge, including those that are remote from practical medicine, traditional music education, classical music studies and pedagogy. Due to the internal differentiation of its individual components, the consistency of the industry is constantly updated, which is formed at the intersection of pedagogy, the theory of social communication, cultural studies, and other related disciplines. It is determined that the leading ones in music therapy are medicine, psychology and pedagogy, which develops as an integrative discipline at the intersection of neurophysiology, psychology, reflexology, music studies and other fields. The scientific novelty is to identify common means and approaches of scientific knowledge of musical practice to psychological, mental, and behavioural correction of human activity at different age stages.
