Description

Abstract:

India is the world's largest democracy where billions of people live and of course almost of half of these are women. So how does women education effect India's development? If girls are not educated, families suffer too. Educated mothers use their knowledge to improve the health of their children and other family members. Their knowledge about health risk protects their families against illness. Child mortality rate is much higher where mothers lack education than in families where mothers are educated. Girl education emerging as one of the top priorities of Indian society "Educating girls is not an option, it is a necessity". We all want to elimilnate gender disparities in education. In my opinion education is character building. With moral values we can transform the nation. Every citizen of world should get education but sorry to mention here that the half of the world population is women my question is how much percentage is literate? How many of them are involved in policy making of nation in any Democratic country? Such questions come in my mind as far as equality is concerned where are women in world scenario, they are always marginalised given secondary importance. According to the report published by the National survey of India the literacy rate in India in 2022 is 77.7%. Kerela is the most literate state in India. The literacy rate of Kerala is 96.2 % as per UNESCO India will achive Universal literacy in the year 2060.
