Inverse Approach to Spacecraft Charging Simulations Appendix

  • 1. Los Alamos National Laboratory

Description

Synthetic Cases used to illustrate the inverse charging technique.

Data structure in files:

Case_X.dat: contains density and spacecraft potential in the first and second column respectively..

Case_X_ia.dat: contains the illuminated area with respect to the total spacecraft area.

Case_X_Te_ref.out: contains the electron temperature as a function of time (normalized).

Case_X_solar.out: contains the temperature (Tph) and current density (Jph) of the photoelectrons in the first and second row respectively. In the case of the two material case in section 3.6, the second set of material parameters are given in the third and fourth row corresponding to Tph2 and Jph2.

All data is given in SI units.

Cases (folder) used in the paper sections:

Section 3.1: Case_single_Te_solution_NoNoise

Section 3.2-3.3: Case_single_Te_solution

Section 3.4: Case_two_Te_solution

Section 3.5: 32_Cases

Section 3.6: Case_two_materials
