Description
The detailed understanding of the Galactic emission processes in the frequency range from 1 to 3000\,GHz is crucial for a state-of-the-art characterization of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) both in intensity and polarization.
In the last two decades, the Anomalous Microwave Emission has emerged as a new continuum emission mechanism in microwaves, different from the three well-known Galactic mechanisms: synchrotron, free–free, and thermal dust emission. A remarkable observational effort has been devoted to the understanding of the intensity and polarization properties. In intensity, its spectral signature is detected over almost the entire sky in the frequency range from 10 to 60\,GHz, reaching a maximum around 30\,GHz.
In this context, the QUIJOTE-MFI wide survey, covering the northern sky at 10-20\,GHz range, is useful for pinning down the AME spectrum at low frequencies, allowing a more reliable separation between the AME and other components than in previous analysis.
In this poster, I will present the spectral energy distribution characterization of AME in Galactic compact regions, using the QUIJOTE-MFI survey. In particular, I will discuss the AME properties in HII region and molecular clouds, and the presence of AME in supernova remnants.
