The current study applies a convolutional neural network (CNN) to estimate future trends in groundwater levels (GWL) caused by climate change in 505 wells in Lower Saxony, northern Germany.

The groundwater level observations are provided by the local authority of the federal state of Lower Saxony. The meteorological information is available free of charge by DWD ( Deutsche Wetterdienst )
