Description

This figure provides an overview of the (Phenotype Knowledge TransLator) Ecosystem. The Ecosystem consists of three components as indicated by the three gray boxes: (1) Resources to Construct Knowledge Graphs. This component consists of tools to process a wide variety of heterogeneous data sources and an algorithm to customize the construction of large-scale biomedical knowledge graphs; (2) Resources to Use Knowledge Graphs. This component consists of resources to use knowledge graphs, which includes graphical endpoints (e.g., SPARQL endpoints) and Jupyter Notebook-based use cases and tutorials; and (3) Resources to Benchmark Knowledge Graphs. This component consists of resources that can be used to validate knowledge graph build decisions (e.g., compare different knowledge models and relation strategies) and evaluate algorithms designed for knowledge graphs (e.g., graph representation learning algorithms). Acronyms: NT (N-Triples file format); OWL (Web Ontology Language); PKL (Python pickle file format); SPARQL (SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language).
