Supporting Structured Teaching Material in the WWW

This paper presents aspects of modelling, authoring and presenting structured documents corresponding to teaching material presented in the World Wide Web. In this context, it is discussed the importance of providing the formalization of the structure of the documents using SGML. Specifications for structured documents corresponding to didactic texts and questionnaires in SGML are described. Software tools to the authoring and presentation of those documents are also presented in order to manipulate and delivery them in the Web, showing an effective support for structured web teaching material.
