Description
Stenus deplanatus deplanatus L. Benick, 1933
Type locality: South Africa, Eastern Cape Province, Dunbrody.
Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape: 1 ♂: Baviaanskloof NR, Poortjies, 33°40’S, 24°29’E, stream banks, treading, 3.xii.2009, J. Janák lgt. (JJRC); Western Cape: 2 ♂: Bot river nr Hwy N 2 bridge, pr. Botrivier, 34°14.2’S, 19°12.9’E, 17.x.2013, J. Janák lgt. (JJRC).
Distribution. The species is distributed in South Africa. The nominotypical subspecies is recorded from Western Cape and Eastern Cape provinces.
