Anatoma occidentalis n. sp. (Vetigastropoda, Anatomidae) from upper bathyal coral habitats off western Africa

A new species in the family Anatomidae J. H. McLean, 1989 (Gastropoda) is proposed: Anatoma occidentalis n. sp., found off Mauritania and Angola. Empty shells of the new species were found in sediment samples collected in habitats associated with deep-water corals from an upper bathyal depth range.
