Description

Abstract: This essay relates a brief historical context on the dynamics of women's lives since the 17th century and throughout history, as well as the changes that were made from important and decisive moments in historical episodes. Likewise, the shift from science in ancient cultures to Modern Science is addressed, and how it somehow positively influenced the entry of women into the scientific area, which was mostly dominated by men. In this sense, a recollection of the life story of Eliza Maria Gordon Cumming and her performance is developed, although not registered with the name of the great naturalists of the time, in geology in the early nineteenth century, as well as some obstacles faced and factors that instigated your progress during your career.
