Status of the phase-2 upgrade of the NEON experiment

Neutrino Elastic-scattering Observation with NaI(Tl) experiment (NEON) aims to detect a coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering in a NaI(Tl) crystal using reactor anti-electron neutrino at Hanbit nuclear power plant.
NEON phase 1 data taking was performed from December 2020 to February 2022, including 1-month reactor-off data.
NEON phase 2 upgrade is designed to improve the performance of the liquid scintillator veto and the stability of the NaI(Tl) detector by changing the detector encapsulation.
In this poster, we present the status of the design and validation of NEON phase 2.
