In this scotogenic model based on S3 × Z2 symmetry realistic neutrino mixing is obtained at one-
loop level. In this model, two right-handed neutrinos are present. These two right-handed neutrinos
when are maximally mixed, one gets the form of the left-handed Majorana neutrino mass matrix
corresponding to θ13 = 0 and θ23 = π/4 with solar mixing taking any value. The choices of the solar
mixing corresponding to Tribimaximal (TBM) with θ12^0 = 35.26◦, Bimaximal (BM) with θ12^0 = 45◦
and Golden Ratio (GR) mixing with θ12^0 = 31.7◦ were discussed in this work. A little shift from maximal
mixing in between the two right-handed neutrinos could yield the non-zero value of θ13, deviation of
θ23 from π/4 and small corrections to the solar mixing as well so as to make the mixings in agreement
with the neutrino oscillation data. There are also two Z2 odd inert SU(2)L doublet scalars present in
the model, the lightest among which can be a dark matter candidate.
