ABSTRACT
The so-called The God Letter (or Einstein-Gutkind Letter), gained a lot of attention when in 2008 it was found and immediately auctioned in the United Kingdom. This writing was Albert Einstein's reply to Eric Gutkind, a German-Jewish philosopher, where, according to reports at the time, the scientist suggested he was an atheist and even anti-religious. However, analyzing the thought of the promulgator of the Theory of Relativity throughout his life, we noticed some apparent inconsistencies with what we read in his letter. Thus, we sought to verify whether or not there was any change in the conception of the physicist in relation to this theme, analyzing various aspects of this correspondence.
