Детермінанти функціонування ринку молока та молокопродукції України в сучасних умовах

The article considers the main trends in the development of the milk and dairy products market in Ukraine under martial law. The determinants, which will determine the development of the dairy market in the nearest future, are outlined. The attention is accentuated on the problems of functioning dairy farms and milk-processing factories, as well as households producing milk.

Six anti-crisis measures are suggested for the dairy industry of Ukraine, which include the mechanisms of preferential taxation and crediting of dairy farms and dairy factories, state purchases, organization of dairy cooperatives within the united territorial communities, and modernization of milk export ways to the world food markets. Also, the proposals on stimulation of organic agriculture and organic milk production.

The study of the determinants of functioning of the milk and dairy products market of Ukraine in modern conditions has allowed to focus on such major problems as the decline in consumer demand for milk due to the reduction in population and real incomes, the formation of a surplus of milk products on dairy processing enterprises, the reduction of dairy cows, unbalancing of export chains of Ukrainian dairy products to international food markets All this has led to the necessity to focus on the following issues  It has been noted that in Ukraine there are significant threats to reduce consumer demand in general, and consumer demand for milk and dairy products in particular.

 The author noted that promising areas of scientific research in the field of functioning of the dairy market of Ukraine could be those directions that are aimed at the study of general problems of agricultural development, solving the problems of providing dairy farms with fodder, and problems of milk exports to the world food markets.
