Description

Digital magnetofluidics is a growing field to address controllable and programmable manipulation of droplets by using transparent and harmless magnetic field. Here, we report and characterize the formation and properties of a tunable superparamagnetic ring (tSPRing). The ring precisely adjusts itself around a water droplet, due to liquid-liquid interaction, and enables the physical manipulation of droplets. This approach offers robust, controllable and programmable manipulation of enclosed water (polar) droplets.
