Exoplanet Atmospheres with JWST

Planetary atmospheres are diverse. They hold key insights into the complex physics and chemistry that has shaped them through formation. In this talk I focus on the understanding we have gained on exoplanet atmospheres from transiting studies, including the importance of wide wavelength coverage. I also outline some of the largest and most exciting exoplanet studies that will be carried out by JWST in the first year of the mission.
