Description

The wood-legs syndrome is a pathology affecting the lower limbs and caused by poor blood circulation in the thighs, legs and feet. Older people it affects especially, but can, under certain circumstances, also be present in youngers. It is caused by compression of the large vessels (arteries and veins) sitting for a long time on the toilet. They are particularly vulnerable subjects constipated and those with intestinal disorders, linked to “sluggish bowels”. This syndrome affects one leg like both and decreased blood flow generates the complete loss, even if temporary, the sensitivity.

In addition, this syndrome cause loss of the muscular movements and the resulting in difficulty to stand. Infact, when the individual have just reached the standing position, is unsupported by muscle groups and then it falls.

The frequent bad falls in the bathroom are mostly attributed to the syndrome of the wooden legs. Some studies on the causes of fractures of the elderly in the bathroom, have established the frequent incidence of such a domestic accident. To avoid such circumstances, it is studying a tablet drinkable with water, which exercites a massage on large vessels and prevents that the flow can be temporary  interrupted, resulting in poor circulation, by the syndrome of the wooden legs.
