Description
This research investigated how hybrid textile-reinforced mortar (TRM) can be engineered for composite boards, through two jute wovens and eucalyptus pulp, and their correlations with matrix: characterization of jute textiles, amount of pulp; the influence of fabric design into matrix; and degumming fabric effects. Molding by slurry dewatering and mechanical properties by four-point bending were performed. Results pointed out F1 has higher opened mesh and lower tensile strength, 7% of pulp is the optimal; both fabrics represented almost similar mechanical properties; and degumming was effective, but tension of TRMs decayed probably due to uneven surface fabrics, which must be improved later in an industrial process.
