Taxonomy. Pachyotis temmincki celebensis Sody, 1928,

Toli Toli, northern Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Scotophilus celebensis might be a subspecies of S. heathii because it appears to be recognized as primarily based on its disjunct distribution. Monotypic.

Distribution. Sulawesi.

Descriptive notes. Head-body 75-80 mm, tail 60 mm (one specimen), forearm 62-64 mm. The Sulawesi Yellow Bat is very similar to the Greater Asiatic Yellow Bat (S. heathii), but no morphological comparison has been made to differentiate them.
