Description
FIGURE 6. Morphological variation in the extension degree of the tip of Shape r in Type D and difference from Shape R in Type A. A, specimens from Aburatsubo Cove. B, specimens from Ushimado. The Aburatsubo Cove samples included some specimens from Shape R group, and they were distinguished from Shape r samples based on their elongated sub-triangular outline and tapering curved tip, which differed from the spindle-shaped outline and pointed tip observed in Shape r samples. Each number correlates with a specific specimen from each locality.
