OCCURRENCE OF AURAPTENE, UMBELLIFERONE, MARMIN, LUPEOL AND SKIMMIANINE IN THE ROOT OF AEG MARMELOS CORREA

Description
From the root of Aegle rnarmelos Correa lupeol, skimmianine and three benzo-α-pyrone derivatives, viz. auraptene (geranylumbelliferone), marmin [7- (3: 7-dihydroxy-3 : 7-dimethyloctyloxy)-coumarin] and umbelliferone, have been isolated. This is the first isolation of auraptene in this plant.
