FUSARIUM DISEASE OF BELL PEPPER AND MEASURES TO COMBAT IT

Description
Fusarium spp. cause serious diseases of the hot and sweet peppers (Capsicum annuum). The main types of these diseases are wilt (causal agent is Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. capsici), crown rot (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-capsici) and stem rot (Fusarium solani). It has been found that crown rot and stem rot caused by F. oxysporum (presumably f. sp. radici-capsici) and supposedly by F. solani, respectively, are often occurs on both sweet and hot peppers in Uzbekistan.
