PEOPLES' PERCEPTION OF URBAN FARMING DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC
Authors/Creators
Description
According to Villapando, (2020), the COVID-19 pandemic has threatened food security and even accessibility of basic food needs, especially in urban
communities, because of this the Bureau Plant Industry has stepped up the
implementation of its Urban Agriculture Program by working with LGUs, non-profit organizations and government agencies to develop and promote urban agriculture.
The author believes that urban agriculture / farming can only be successfully
integrated into urban areas if consumers perceive urban farming favorably and accept urban farms within their communities with motivation.
