A Study of the Complex Compounds of N-Benzenesulphonyl with some Metal Ions : Part X. N-p-Acetamino and N-p-Amino benzenesulphonyl Glycines

Using N-\(p\)-acetaminobenzenesulphonyl glycine (R^\(a\)H₂) and N-\(p\)-aminobenzenesulphonyl glycine (R^\(m\)H₂) as ligands, complex compounds isolated in the pure states are Cu(R^\(a\)H) (OH)(H₂O); Hg(R^\(a\)H) (OH)(H₂O)2H₂O; Ag(R^\(a\)H); Pb(R^\(a\)H)₂2H₂O; M^II(R^\(m\)H)₂ where M^II = Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II); Ba Cu(R^\(m\))₂ and Ag(R^\(m\)H). Magnetic susceptibility data of all Cu(II) complexes and electronic spectra of Cu(R^\(m\)H)₂ in alkaline solution as well as of the ligands R^\(a\)H_2  and R^\(m\)H₂ have been determined and a discussion has been made.
