Some Studies on Iodo- and Acylflavones

7-Methoxy-6-Iodo 7,4'-dimethoxy-6-Iodo-and 6-methoxy-5-Iodoflavone have been coil verted into the corresponding biflavonyl and cyanoflavone derivatives respectively. The structures of the cyano derivatives were proved by alkalinehydrolysis to the know cyano acids. Further Beckmann rearangements of the oximes of 7-hydroxy-8-acety and 7-hydroxy-8-benzoylflavone have been carried out and the structures of the amid derivatives were proved by comparing the amino derivatives obtained from the amid derivatives by hydrolysis and from the known nitro flavones by reduction.
