Complexes of Uranium (VI) with Schiff Bases

A few complexes of uranyl nitrate hexahydrate with Schiff bases derived from various mono and diamines with acetyl-acetone have been prepared to yield coloured compounds. The analytical data indicate that these are either 1 :1 or 1 :2 complexes depending upon the nature of the ligand. The nature of the complexes has been revealed by the I.R. spectra.
