Potential Antimycobacterial Agents : Part III. Condensation Products of Diphenylamine-2-Carboxylic acid Hydrazides with Aldehydes and Ketones and Their Evaluation as Antibacterials

Diphenylamine-2-carboxylic acid hydrazides, synthesised by the hydrazinolysis of methyl diphenylamine-2-carboxylates have been condensed with aromatic aldehydes, ketones and α-­isonitrosopropiophenone. Some of the compounds possessed 'significant' antibacterial activity.
