Diphenylamine-2-carboxylic acid hydrazides, synthesised by the hydrazinolysis of methyl diphenylamine-2-carboxylates have been condensed with aromatic aldehydes, ketones and α-isonitrosopropiophenone. Some of the compounds possessed 'significant' antibacterial activity.
