A New Synthetic Approach to Amidino thiolurethanes and Amidino carbamides

 Interaction of carbonyl sulphide with p-chlorophenyl and \(p\)-tolyl guanidines in presence of alkyl halides has been shown to afford the related alkyl guanyl thiocarbamates. These on reaction with amines eliminate mercaptan and form the corresponding amidino carbamides.
