3. ECTROPOTHECIUM Mitt.
Ectropothecium includes about 205 species in the world, and 16 species in China (Jia & He 2013). In the recent study, the diagnostic features of Ectorpothecium characters have been summarized as follows (He 2019): (1) filamentous and slenderly lanceolate or foliose pseudoparaphyllia, (2) more or less asymmetric and somewhat falcate-secund, hardly falcate to even not falcate leaves, (3) weakly to moderate prorate laminal cells, (4) 1(–2) in number, large, inflated, hyaline, and thin-walled cells at the base of leaves, (5) small-sized capsules, and (6) collenchymatous exothecial cells. In the present study, we have concluded that Glossadelphus anomalus and G. falcatulus are best classifying in Ectropothecium. The detailed discussion is shown below.
