SemanticLayerTools

This software project collects tools to build, cluster, analysis and visualize social, semiotic or semantic layers from text corpora.

The release 0.1.3 contains two main methods for network creation

1. Create a multilayer network from publications using Ngram-scoring
2. Build longitudinal cocitation networks and cluster to uncover e.g. fields of research

The development is part of the research project ModelSEN Socio-epistemic networks: Modelling Historical Knowledge Processes, part of Department I of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany (Grant No. 01 UG2131).
