Synthesis and Characterisation of Some Di-p-tolyltin Dithiocarbamates

Several new di-p-tolyltin dithiocarbamates of the formula (p-tolyl)₂SnX_(2-n) -(R₂NCS₂)_n have been synthesized and characterized by analytical data, conductance, infrared, pmr and electronic spectral data. The ligand in these compounds is bidentate. In contrast to triorganotin dithiocarbamates they do not possess significant antimicrobial activity.
